What oil prevents seal and gasket leaks better sae or synthetic?

it heard it was a myth that synthetic oil can cause seals and gaskets to leak. on the back of the mobile1 high mileage bottle it says that it prevents leaks. but i dont know if i can trust them. so sae or synthetic can someone help thanks. What oil prevents seal and gasket leaks better sae or synthetic?
Only proper maintenance can prevent leaks. Seals and gaskets wear out over time, and should be replaced when they fail. What oil prevents seal and gasket leaks better sae or synthetic?
Motor oil, whether petroleum, synthetic or blends can not prevent seal and gasket leaks. It is the additives included in the oil that make the seals and gaskets swell to help slow leaking. Synthetics seem to have less tendency to leak than petroleum oils but that is just a personal observation in my own cars.

Another thing to keep in mind, is that if you have leaks, synthetic oils are going to become really expensive. If your engine is leaking badly enough to leave a small oil spot or two when you park, nothing you pour in it will fix that. You need new gaskets and seals or perhaps an overhaul because you have too much blow by causing the pressure in the engine to blow the oil out the gaskets and seals.
i had a leak from the oil pan gasket on my 99 dak, and when i switched to Q synthetic the leak stopped.then my hours at work got cut and 25 bucks an oil change (doing it myself)seemed unfeasible. So now i buy the valvoline high mileage stuff (red bottle)and it doesn't leak until im almost due for an oil change. You should fix whatever is leaking, but in my experience the syn or semi-syn works better.
Old synthetic was bad for motors, like in the 60's and 70's, but today synthetic is much better than real oil. Chemistry and Chemical Engineering have come a long way.
No oil, sae or synthetic can prevent or cause seals and gaskets to leak. If you use 'stop leaks', this material would swollen the seals/gaskets. Lubricating oil would not do the job.
synthetic does not cause a leak but it will find a leak faster due to its smaller molecular structure. that high mileage oil is a good thing.

if your seals and gaskets leak now don't use synthetic oil as it flows better in the engine and will leak out faster than conventional oil.
