Is it okay to leave a sealed oil filled heater on while you not at home for 9 hours?

i would say yes if you take sensible precautions like making sure it is not near anything that might scorch, but do you really need it on for 9 hours when u r not at home ?maybe u could buy a suitable plug in time switch and save a bit of money...Is it okay to leave a sealed oil filled heater on while you not at home for 9 hours?
You can, but you need to keep it at a low setting, just in case.

yes you can as there is no naked flame but as advised by other comments keep away from furniture or clothing and fit a timer switch as advised,i think 9 hours is a long time maybe it depends on whether you live in the country or town, maybe switching on for say 3 hours and off for 3hours and back on again before you arrive home.
