Has anybody experienced repairing and sealing an oil leak on a transformer?

What was the reason and how did you fix it?Has anybody experienced repairing and sealing an oil leak on a transformer?
Depending on where the leak is, there are epoxy products can repair pin-hole leaks that occur during welding at the factory.

It may not work if there is too much head pressure in the transformer.

If the leak is near the top, you can pull a partial vacuum on the transformer and then apply the epoxy.

If the oil level is too high above the leak, there may be too much pressure to make a good seal.Has anybody experienced repairing and sealing an oil leak on a transformer?
isnt a transformer an electrical part? im not really sure what ur talking about but i cant imagine why it has oil....

the problem is that oil makes things hard to fix because it doesnt really let anything stick...

best thing to do would be to weld it but u would have to drain all the oil first and clean up the hole real good to remove any oil residue... then weld it...

but if thats not an option theres specialized epoxies that work under these circumstances .. but be warned.. it might hold up for years but its not a permanent fix... welding is a permanent fix... but like i said i dont really know what is going on in this situation im just trying to help you... i hope that helps.
