An oil seal pump is a small pump that pressurizes and circulates oil to the seals on a much larger pump. Typically these are high pressure pumps that feed into a high pressure reactor or catalyst vessel.
Pump is used to pressurise a mechanical seal on a rotating shaft such as a reactor or dryer agitator
They are also used on some centrifugal compressors for the shaft seals.
