Please provide me reasosns what will happen to the compressor if contaminated seal oil is still being used.?

If the seal oil is contaminated, the seal will wear. For example, if there's grit in the oil, the grit will get stuck between the seal and the cylinder or shaft. Then it will slowly grind the metal away. As it grinds, the seal will leak more and more. One little bit of grit won't cause a problem, but the more grit, the more wear and the sooner the compressor loses efficiency. Same with acid contamination - except the pitting will be chemically caused. Please provide me reasosns what will happen to the compressor if contaminated seal oil is still being used.?
It will wear it out eventually. My compressor did not require frequent changes. The reasons are the same economics for changing the oil in anything.
