Could a blown valve seal, and or a blown head gasket cause a drop in oil pressure?

A valve seal would have no effect on the oil pressure. You may notice a consumption of oil %26amp; blue smoke.





A head gasket could cause low oil pressure, but you would find your cooling system full of goop or there would be a horrendous cloud of smoke trailing your car.

Machine your crankshaft and replace the connecting rod bearings with the size to which the crankshaft has been machined down. You will regain the oil pressure.





Blown valve seal and blown head gasket will create other symptoms of which oil pressure drop would be the least of them.
no ..your oil pump might be trash or your bearings are trashed
valve seal no... head gasket unlikely though some engines do have oil under pressure through the gasket.. most common is too much bearing clearence..
