What will happen to the centrifugal compressor using seal oil if seal oil has low flash point?

The oil will evaporate and the seal will no longer be there. Compressor will not compress anymoreWhat will happen to the centrifugal compressor using seal oil if seal oil has low flash point?
possible fire. find a better one, possibly PTFE or silicone based. What will happen to the centrifugal compressor using seal oil if seal oil has low flash point?
it will most likely be damaged if it is susceptible to fire or pressure damage. this is granted that the oil does ignite.
If you're using the seal oil to lubricate the pump, it could evaporate quickly and possibly catch fire. If you are pumping the oil, it should not be problematic unless the suction pressure cases cavitation which is bad, bad news. Ensure this does not happen by supplying the feed in a large enough intake pipe, and by pressurizing the intake (gravity works quite well; locate the pump at the lowest point in the system).
