Yes you should get it fixed. Depending on how much oil and how long it has been leaking out determines how soon you should take it in. Yes, it probably will be costly to get new seal put in, anything that has to do with transmissions usually does b/c mechanics have difficulty getting at them to work on. However, getting it fixed now will lessen your chance of it seizing later, so take it to the shop.My tranmission on my 2000 dodge durango is leaking oil is a broke seal, what happen if I dont replace that s?
if you don,t replace it then it will just get worse then after awhile you won,t be able to keep fluid in it.
