How do I seal an oil painting? many layersof paint, some are beginning to chip off. Do I need rabbit glue and?

Oil paintings are normally sealed using a coat of special varnish, but from what you say, yours has some damage %26amp; is in need of restoration. The restoration of an oil painting is best left to a pro. I know the theory of it and I'll try most things, but this is one even I won't attempt, in case I **** it up.

You can find restorers in the yellow pages (category depends on where you're from - if you're in the US, i don't know which it'll fall under). When you take the painting to them, make sure you get a quote for the work before allowing them to do it - you don't want any nasty surprises.
