What kind of material do i use to make oil seals?

your not going to be able to make a oil seal they r made from a reinforced rubber with a spring on the inner lip of the seal to help them seal better gaskets you cam make with gasket paper and some sump gaskets r just Silicone

You have a rear main seal, front crankshaft seal, and front camshaft seal. You also have an oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, head gasket, and oil filter gasket.

How big of a job is it to change the valve stem oil seals in porsche 911 sse 1987?

Depends on your level of mechanical experience, but it's probably a job for a Porsche mechanic. If you ask about this at Pelican Parts tech forum below, you'll likely get a detailed reply. How big of a job is it to change the valve stem oil seals in porsche 911 sse 1987?

  • The crank shaft seal busted and all the oil went into the stater, is the stater still functional?

it might not be functional with all the oil on it but when you clean it, it will be fine. go to a parts store and get electrical terminal cleaning spray to clean it. other products will damage it. don't use carb or brake cleaner on it. pull it clean it, fix the seal and you're good to go.The crank shaft seal busted and all the oil went into the stater, is the stater still functional?
Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.

Some bikes - the stater is in oil (in other words, oil will come out when the cover is removed). The crank shaft seal busted and all the oil went into the stater, is the stater still functional?
    Should be.

How to replace the Crank, Cam, Oil pump seals and the O'Ring when replacing the Timing belt in Camry 01?

Is it easier to replace the Crank seal, Cam Seal, Oil Pump seal, and the O'Ring when replacing the timing belt? it looks to me that this is all in the same area, or is it more work and it should be done separately? How to replace the Crank, Cam, Oil pump seals and the O'Ring when replacing the Timing belt in Camry 01?
You would need to take out the timing belt, then take out the pulley gears, then you should be able to see the oil seals. To drive the seals, you would need a socket large enough to cover over the seal. For crank, you may have to go to hardware store and pick up a pvc pipe.

Oil the new rings and drive the seals. Chance of moving the pulleys are high, so I would invest $50 holding device (holds the gears in place so you can remove the pulleys)How to replace the Crank, Cam, Oil pump seals and the O'Ring when replacing the Timing belt in Camry 01?
you need to do it all while your replacing the timing belt this way there's no danger in oil getting on the new timing belt, its easier to do all this once the timing belt is removed, good luck.

Honda cb350 has oil inwhere the points are I need to know how to change the seal?

I really hated to pry with a screwdriver on a surface a seal ran on. We used to take 2 long skinny sheet metal screws and a small drill and screw them into the steel backing of the seal. Then with 2 small vice grips- just pull the seal out. Next carb spray out any chips and dry it all up. Put some grease on the lip of the seal and some gray seal on the outside ring of the seal and drive it home with a pipe or socket if the shaft will allow.

Guard has the right dealer I use Bikebandit for most stuff, and only get a news letter once in a while. Never had a problem with them. If you are running WOT- ignore their site rating I think the competition flood them with fake reports.Honda cb350 has oil inwhere the points are I need to know how to change the seal?
A good way to drive seals is to find a socket that is almost the same diameter at the seal. If the shaft sticking out is very long, a deep well socket works well. That way you simply tap on the socket instead of having to go around and around a little bit at a time.Honda cb350 has oil inwhere the points are I need to know how to change the seal?
Remove the breaker plate (points) and advancer.

The seal is just pressed in, pull it out.

Tap a screw driver in between the seal and cam surface - pry the seal out.

Tap the new seal in (a little at a time, making sure it goes in straight - not kocked).
