I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee would the rear main seals be causing me to burn off oil threw the exhaust?

I was told it could be that the or the piston ring seals that could be bad. i was under the car putting on a new oxygen sensor and seen oil near the oil pan and the engine any help would be nice thanks.I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee would the rear main seals be causing me to burn off oil threw the exhaust?
Oil outside the engine yes. Oil through the exhaust no, that would be rings, valves, blown gasket or cracked head. BTW, our 99 Jeep is a leaky beast, seems to be their nature.
