What is ';THE'; best motor oil for a rotary engine (RX8). mainly protecting the seal. Thomas?

5W20, NON SYNTHETIC. Weight will vary by your area/climate, owners manual states weight by zone.

Some people swear by synthetic, Mazda has never tested synthetic in the Wankel rotary and has used full oil in all their cars. Quaker State actually says in their website their full synthetic is recommended for any and every engine, EXCEPT the Wankel rotary...

Synthetic was a matter of choice. In a car that burns oil, you dont want to use an oil that has a higher viscosity and resists thermal breakdown... it has to break down, its using it!

Brand is totally your choice. I use Quaker State myself, but any kind you choose as long as it is the correct weight will be fine. What is ';THE'; best motor oil for a rotary engine (RX8). mainly protecting the seal. Thomas?
Redline Oil are the best for your engine. Gain a little horspower and the cost around $11.00 per one . I just change my oil today from Mobile One Synthetic to Redline Synthetic Oil. It's a huge improvement. I love Redline Oil. Report Abuse
