Convert to a spin-on adapter.Where can i find the seals that go inside the oil filter adapter?
These used to come with a new filter kit. You might try NAPA as they have many old things that nobody else does. I'm sure these did in fact come with the new filter kit. If you try one of the restoration suppliers such a www.yearone.com they can point you in the right direction. There is also a few other places like NPD (national parts depot) that carry replacement parts for old impalas. Most people I know have all changed over to the spin on by installing a kit to do so. Sure beats the old way hands down. Glad to help you, good Luck!!!
when do find the time to do all this work?
Dealer item only. If it's an 0-ring you may be able to get it at the auto parts store or a hardware. If it is a cork or paper seal and you cannot get one, you can purchase gasket material and make it your self.

Making your own gasket:

Put the gasket material over the metal objects that you're trying to duplicate. With a ballpeen hammer generally tap the gasket material in order to indent it. This should give you the pattern of the gasket that needs to be cut out. Gently cut the pattern out with scissors and a razor knife.
