My 96 dodge caravan has an oil leak I changed the rear maim seal and the oli pan and gasket and it still leaks

I changed the rear main and the oil pan and gaskest. I still have and oil leak and don't know were it is coming form but I have to add oil every 2 days. It appears to be coming form between were the engine and tarnsmsionMy 96 dodge caravan has an oil leak I changed the rear maim seal and the oli pan and gasket and it still leaks
the valve cover gasket will just pour out oil that can be getting past the exhaust system and therefore you willl not get the tell tale smoke also you could have a crack.....if you replace the valve cover gasket be sure to use red or blue silicone more likely its the oil pan thats bent and you need to use red silicone plus the gasket and let it fully dry see if the pan sits flat on a flt surface (upside down that is) also use an air hose and see if there are any cracks in it...since the rear main was replaced its prolly an oil pan that met a curb......there is still a leak when properly bolted down...red silicone both sides(of the gasket) fully dryed should quench the leak...the v 6 has end bearings on the valve cover that stop leaking when slightly over tightened ....mine had the smoke tho.....

Your problem is possibly the oil pressure sending unit or switch depending on if you have a gauge or a light on what it is called. you do not have a 2 piece rear main seal so the trans had to be removed to replace the seal and if you use quality gaskets you dont need to use any silicone on the new gaskets but be sure to clean the sealing surface good the only spot where you would need to use silicone is where there is a joint . like where the timing cover meets the block
all answer,s are good.....just like to add....check your oil pressure sending unit.
It's possible you or whoever replaced the rear main seal put it on wrong. I'd say valve cover, but oil every 2 days sounds excessive. My only thought is a crack in the block maybe?
you may have installed the rear main incorrectly (Sorry) start it up and look under it if its leaking between the trans and engine you have to pull the tranny again and reinstall the seal again get it just inside the lip of the edge of the crankshaft then use a little silicone too.make sure it is completely clean and dry first also put some silglide on the inside of the seal too before installing so the scarf ring stays wear it should. in the seal (not out) other then that you got your front crank seal and your valve cover gaskets and you should be good.gl 2u make sure your trans side case seals are OK too ( where your axles go into your tranny)
The head gasket might be your problem.
its possible the rear main seal didn't seat down real good,i have also seen some crank shafts with a groove cut in them from the rear main seal and a new one sometimes wont seat back in,when their like this you have to add a shim in it before you install the rear main seal usually a 2 thousands shim will make the new seal seat in good, good luck hope this helps.
ohh, maybe in the crankcase, change the gasket
3.0l v6 mitsubishi engine. cam seals leak like crazy rather involved repair, shop around. engine will run a crazy amount of miles but will leak oil. cam seals are on the back end of the heads above trans. all of the three liters i have ever seen with 100,000 mile or more these will leak.
