Honda cb350 has oil inwhere the points are I need to know how to change the seal?

I really hated to pry with a screwdriver on a surface a seal ran on. We used to take 2 long skinny sheet metal screws and a small drill and screw them into the steel backing of the seal. Then with 2 small vice grips- just pull the seal out. Next carb spray out any chips and dry it all up. Put some grease on the lip of the seal and some gray seal on the outside ring of the seal and drive it home with a pipe or socket if the shaft will allow.

Guard has the right dealer I use Bikebandit for most stuff, and only get a news letter once in a while. Never had a problem with them. If you are running WOT- ignore their site rating I think the competition flood them with fake reports.Honda cb350 has oil inwhere the points are I need to know how to change the seal?
A good way to drive seals is to find a socket that is almost the same diameter at the seal. If the shaft sticking out is very long, a deep well socket works well. That way you simply tap on the socket instead of having to go around and around a little bit at a time.Honda cb350 has oil inwhere the points are I need to know how to change the seal?
Remove the breaker plate (points) and advancer.

The seal is just pressed in, pull it out.

Tap a screw driver in between the seal and cam surface - pry the seal out.

Tap the new seal in (a little at a time, making sure it goes in straight - not kocked).
